We warrant for two years that the workmanship of the emergency mitigation service or restoration work performed will be of the quality generally accepted in the emergency property damage mitigation services industry. We also warrant for one year that all materials, furnished by us, will be new, of good quality and free from defects. If we fail to meet commercially reasonable expectations, we will provide re-service at no additional cost for up to two years. This provision excludes re-service associated with normal wear and tear, normal re-soiling, improper care and improper maintenance, damage associated with a new event, and excludes sub-contract work. Any items warranted by a manufacturer will be governed by that warranty. This warranty may be extended for work referred by or covered by certain insurance companies.
In connection with our work and this warranty, we are licensed and insured. We will perform services professionally and to industry standards in compliance with federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations. Only SERVPRO approved cleaning products will be used on the job.

Well, we are officially one year into this pandemic! When this craziness started, I do not think there is a single person that thought it would last this long. All of our lives have been changed in one way or another.

Giving sprit is the way we are here at SERVPRO of Hayward. We love to see the smiling faces in our communities (even through the masks) We serve over 13 counties in northern Wisconsin. Our main goal is to make sure our customers are always happy. This year even with the COVID-19 pandemic that has been going on for over a year now, our marketing team has been able to make our rounds. We did have to stay in the office for about eight months but right before Christmas we were able to go out and deliver some wonderful cookies to our clients. We were also able to help our local communities with a couple donations. They were very appreciative! We always want to bring smiles to as many people as we can through these dark times.

Document Restoration Services

Do you have a place of business that handles a lot of documents? What happens if there is a water loss? Who is going to take care of those documents? Instead of using a subcontractor, keep it green! Document Restoration Services are now available through SERVPRO of Hayward.
Our team, along with the help of the Document Restoration team if necessary, will inventory the documents at the site of the loss, pack them up, then ship them to SERVPRO Corporate. In some cases, cold storage or refrigerated trucks may be needed, but the Document Restoration team will advise and assist where necessary. Once documents arrive, the boxes will be inventoried, placed in cold storage if necessary, and the drying process will begin.
The Document Restoration Team uses sublimation, this turns a solid directly into a vapor, skipping the liquid stage to avoid causing more damage to the documents. This process can recover even the most delicate items, from documents to photographs and x-rays, to entire business archives. Depending on the type of job, documents can also be decontaminated, cleaned, deodorized, and even digitized.
Some of the services include cleaning which involves the Document Restoration Team which will go through each box page by page to wipe down and remove dirt, soot, or other contaminants.
There are 3 levels of cleaning based on the type of soiling, and how heavy it is.
Many times documents that have been affected will hold residual smells of contaminants, or mildew, and should be deodorized before being returned to your client.
With the new age of technology, digitizing records and documents has become a standard practice in most industries. This eliminates the need to have massive file storage rooms and allows us to access records at the click of a button. If your file room was damaged by water or smoke and needs to be cleaned, dried or decontaminated, digitizing might be a good choice to eliminate the need to have hundreds or even thousands of documents and records in your storage.
In a CAT 3 situation (sewage or flood water), documents are not only deteriorating but are also infected with all types of bacteria. In most storm situations, you are dealing with CAT 3 water; therefore, most of the affected documents you encounter will be contaminated. Gamma irradiation is a process used for cleaning/disinfecting and decontaminating documents or other consumer goods.
If this is the case, decontamination is always a must. In living cells, these disruptions result in damage to the DNA and other cellular structures. These photon-induced changes at the molecular level cause the death of the organism or render the organism incapable of reproduction. The gamma process does not create residuals or impart radioactivity in processed products.
